One challenge for today’s scientific study and research is the difficulty interpreting large-scale and complex data by working directly with raw numbers. Visualization technologies allow data to be represented graphically, both as static images and as animated video, in such a way that data can be readily analyzed and understood.
In order to help FIU faculty, scientists, and students to “see” their data, Division of Information Technology offers an ultra-high resolution visualization wall in the Technology Show Room PC414, located in Charles Perry building of Modesto A. Maidique campus. The 140-inch visualization wall uses Nvidia Mosaic technology to span applications, images, and video across nine HD professional display panels with totaling 18 Million pixels. It is an excellent facilities for faculty, research scientists, and students to analyze and present all kinds of data in extraordinary dimension and resolution.
Please contact hpcadmin@fiu.edu and make room reservation to have access to the visualization wall.
